Edward Liu

Edward Liu has a diverse range of work experience in the tech industry. Edward currently holds the position of Head of Delivery Robots at Gaussian Robotics, a global leader in cleaning robots. In this role, they are responsible for expanding the company into the delivery robots market and utilizing their latest technologies to address labor shortages and provide contact-free delivery.

Prior to this, Edward worked as a Research Engineer at Wayve, where they focused on real-time C++ systems for self-driving cars. Edward also contributed to the development of data infrastructure, researched model architecture and data curriculums, and achieved a 2x reduction in training time for the training pipeline.

During their time at Scape Technologies, Edward served as an Intern Software Engineer and built internal tools to assist with debugging the company's mapping pipeline for city-scale augmented reality.

Edward also has experience as the President of Hackbridge.io, where they successfully grew the team from just himself and one project to a team of five with over 20 projects in their portfolio.

Other notable experiences include an internship at Wayve as a Research Engineer, where they worked on their data pipeline and co-authored a paper on learning to drive from simulation without real-world labels. Edward also worked as an App Developer at Effie and completed internships at Dexta Robotics, Catalearn, Redgate Software, and Autodesk.
