Aura Balan

Aura Balan, P. Eng. has extensive work experience in various engineering roles across different industries. Aura has held positions such as Director of Engineering and Continuous Improvement at Gay Lea Foods, where they supported engineering and continuous improvement teams to drive value within the organization. Previously, they served as the Engineering Site Head at Thermo Fisher Scientific and as an Engineering Manager at TerrAscend, where they built the equipment and process foundation for sustainable cannabis production.

In addition, Aura has experience as a Senior Project Engineer at Give and Go Prepared Foods, where they managed large-scale, fully automated food production projects. Aura also served as a Maintenance Manager at Eurofins Alphora, Alphora Research Inc., an Engineering Manager at L.V. Lomas, and held various engineering roles at Mars, including Technical Manager, Project Engineer, and Junior Project Engineer.
