Paul Speed

Paul Speed has a diverse work experience in the field of information security and engineering. Paul currently works at Genesis Financial Solutions as the Director of InfoSec Architecture and Engineering. Prior to this, they held various positions at Columbia Sportswear, including Senior Manager of Information Security and Senior Information Security Engineer. At Columbia Sportswear, they executed the global information security strategy, managed projects, provided daily guidance to teams, and implemented risk mitigating directives. Before their time at Columbia Sportswear, Paul worked at UTi Worldwide as a Wintel Engineer and Team Lead, where they led a Windows platform engineering group and acted as the primary point of contact for new systems/solutions requests from the business. Paul also has experience as a Systems Engineer at Planar Systems.

Paul Speed attended Portland State University - School of Business from 1999 to 2002, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Information Systems. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications throughout their career. These certifications include Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) from (ISC)², obtained in December 2021; Payment Card Industry Professional (PCIP) from the PCI Security Standards Council, obtained in December 2020; Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)², obtained in December 2017; ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from AXELOS Global Best Practice, obtained in September 2013; MCITP - Enterprise Server Administrator from Microsoft Certifications, obtained in January 2012; and Internal Security Assessor (ISA) from the PCI Security Standards Council, obtained in December 2015.
