Shawnte Mitchell

Shawnte Mitchell has a diverse work experience, with their most recent position being the Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel at Genomatica since June 2022. Prior to that, they were a Limited Partner at How Women Invest starting in May 2021. Shawnte also served as a Board Member at Life Science Cares Bay Area since October 2020. Another role they held was as a Member at Chief from April 2021 onwards. Before that, they were the E.V.P., General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Zogenix, Inc. from April 2020 to March 2022. Shawnte Mitchell has a Bachelor of Science degree from Stanford University, which they obtained from 1995 to 1999. Shawnte then pursued a Juris Doctor (JD) degree at The George Washington University Law School from 2001 to 2004. Currently, Shawnte is attending the Stanford University Graduate School of Business for the Executive Program in Strategy and Organization, beginning in 2021.
