Keith Sircombe

Director Of Laboratories at Geoscience Australia

Keith Sircombe has extensive work experience in the field of geoscience. Keith started their career as a Visiting Fellow at the Geological Survey of Canada in 1998 and worked there until 2000. Keith then joined the University of Western Australia as a Postdoctoral Fellow from 2001 to 2003. In 2003, Keith joined Geoscience Australia as a Geochronologist and later took on roles as Section Leader from 2008 to 2013 and again from 2013 to 2017. From 2017 to 2020, they served as the Program Coordinator for the Exploring for the Future program at Geoscience Australia. Currently, Keith holds the position of Director of Laboratories at Geoscience Australia.

Keith Sircombe completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Earth and Computer Science from The University of Waikato in 1990. Keith then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Geological and Earth Sciences/Geosciences from the same institution, which they obtained in 1993. Keith continued their education at The Australian National University, where they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Isotope geochemistry and geochronology in 1998.
