Joyce Hsieh

Joyce Hsieh is a marketing professional currently at Magical since November 2022. Previously, Joyce served as a Writer for Contrary from October 2020 to June 2022, where responsibilities included authoring a weekly newsletter targeting engineering and design roles at startups, contributing to significant subscriber growth. Joyce also held the position of Venture Partner at Contrary, providing support to exceptional talent and their companies. As an Analyst at IDEA, Northeastern University's Venture Accelerator, Joyce conducted due diligence and participated in investment decisions while also serving as a Venture Coach to portfolio companies. Prior experience includes a product role at Mapbox, VP of WeBuild for the Women's Interdisciplinary Society of Entrepreneurship, content creation for YouTube with over 5 million views, and founding an e-commerce clothing brand generating over $2 million in revenue. Joyce holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Northeastern University, with concentrations in Finance and Entrepreneurship, and studied International Entrepreneurship at Seoul National University.
