Stephen Chien

Stephen Chien is an accomplished architecture professional with extensive experience in facilities design and project management. Currently serving as the Manager of the Facilities Design Group at Zymergen since September 2019, Stephen previously held the role of Senior Design Program Manager at the same company. Prior to Zymergen, Stephen worked at Tesla Motors as a Senior Architectural Project Manager from December 2014 to September 2019. Stephen's career also includes significant positions at Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects as an Associate and at KPF as a Designer. Stephen holds a Master's Degree in Architecture from Yale University and a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis, complemented by foundational education at The Peddie School.
