Abigail Brengle

Abigail Brengle has a diverse work experience. Abigail served as the Assistant Director of Volunteer Experience at Girl Scouts of Western New York, where they provided leadership and strategic direction to the membership. Abigail also managed Volunteer Specialists and oversaw the education function for all volunteers.

Prior to that, they worked at the University of Rochester as the Instructor Training Coordinator, where they managed teacher training logistics and supported new instructors in various disciplines. Abigail also taught writing courses at the university to help students meet the primary writing requirement.

Abigail also worked at CP Rochester as the Inspiration Project Program Coordinator. In this role, they facilitated a collaborative program between CP Rochester and the English Department at the University of Rochester, where undergraduate students assisted adults with disabilities in producing personal or fictional writings.

Abigail also had experience as an Administrative Assistant at the Center for Emerging and Innovative Sciences, where they provided direct support and oversaw operations. Additionally, they worked as the Communications Coordinator at Kuntzsch Solutions, where they developed content and design strategies for print and web communications.

Earlier in their career, Abigail worked as a Teaching Assistant for the Intensive Studies of Humanities, Art, Language and Literature (ISHALL) program at Michigan State University. Abigail also served as a Writing Consultant at the Michigan State University Writing Center, where they worked with writers in one-on-one and group settings, facilitated workshops, and performed receptionist duties.

Abigail Brengle has a strong educational background with a focus on literature and poetry. Abigail began their academic journey at Michigan State University, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in English Literature between the years 2005 and 2009. Afterward, Abigail pursued further studies at the University of Rochester, earning a Master of Arts degree in English with a specialization in poetry from 2011 to 2012. Building upon their expertise, they went on to complete a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Twentieth-Century Literature and Poetry at the University of Rochester from 2013 to 2019. Abigail's educational trajectory demonstrates their passion and commitment to the study of literature and poetry.
