Brad Milliken

Brad Milliken has a diverse work experience that spans across various organizations. Brad worked as the Director of Maritime Operations at Global Support and Development since 2022. Prior to that, they founded and directed District Cleanups, a non-profit organization focused on community cleanups in the District of Columbia and surrounding areas. Brad also gained experience as an Emergency Management Specialist at The White House, where they were responsible for planning and managing inter-agency operations during crises and emergencies. Brad also worked at PDC Global as an Emergency Management Advisor, providing detailed hazard analysis and disaster operations recommendations. Before that, they served in the U.S. Coast Guard, where they held positions such as Response Officer, Operations Division Officer, and Regimental Waterfront Officer. Additionally, Brad founded The Better Beach Project, a local non-profit that aimed to remove beach litter through incentive-based programs. Overall, Brad has a strong background in emergency management, operations, and community service.

Brad Milliken has a Master's of Professional Studies in Emergency & Disaster Management from Georgetown University. Brad also holds a Bachelor of Science in Management from the US Coast Guard Academy. In addition to their formal education, Brad has obtained certifications in various areas, including being a Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) from DRI International, a Professional Continuity Practitioner from FEMA, and completing training in Psychological First Aid at The Johns Hopkins University. Brad also holds an Active Security Clearance from the United States Department of Defense. Brad's expertise includes serving as a Planning Section Chief for FEMA.
