Ross Avard

Ross Avard is an accomplished mining professional with extensive experience in operational management and production oversight within the mining sector. Currently serving as General Manager of Mining Australia at GMA Garnet Group since March 2019, Ross Avard supervises a team of six direct reports and 138 indirect reports, and has held the role of Site Senior Executive. Prior to this, Ross Avard was Production Manager at GMA, overseeing significant mineral processing operations, and held key positions at Northern Star Resources, Roy Hill, GCO, Newmont Australia, and Tronox. Ross Avard's educational background includes a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Occupational Health and Safety from Curtin University, along with a Bachelor's Degree in Mineral Science and Mathematics and Statistics from Murdoch University.
