Kayla Sheldon

Kayla Sheldon has a diverse work experience starting in 2013 as an Accounts Payable Assistant at Evolution Hospitality. In this role, they processed full cycle accounts payable and interacted extensively with corporate and property management. Kayla then moved on to work as a Research Assistant and Lab Manager at the University of California San Diego from 2014 to 2017. At Avalon English, they worked as an English Teacher from 2017 to 2018. Currently, they are employed at GoGuardian since 2019. Kayla started as a Research Associate, then moved to the role of Senior Research Associate, and is currently working as a Senior Learning Scientist.

Kayla Sheldon has a diverse education history. Kayla started their academic journey at San Marcos High School from 2009 to 2012. After high school, they attended Seattle Central College in 2012-2013, focusing on psychology. Kayla then transferred to MiraCosta College where they obtained an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree in Cognitive Psychology from 2013 to 2014. Continuing their studies, Kayla enrolled at UC San Diego from 2014 to 2016 and earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. Pursuing their interest in Cyberpsychology, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Cyberpsychology from Nottingham Trent University between 2018 and 2019. Additionally, in May 2020, Kayla obtained a certification in "UX Foundations: Research" from LinkedIn.
