Rainer Zimmermann

Rainer Zimmermann currently serves as the VP of Medical Affairs at Gossamer Bio, a position held since October 2023. Previously, Rainer Zimmermann worked for The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson from October 2020 to September 2023 as the Global Medical Leader for Pulmonary Hypertension. Rainer Zimmermann's experience at Actelion from August 2008 to October 2020 included roles such as Global Medical Lead for the PH Franchise and Global Drug Safety Physician, alongside a special interim assignment as Medical Director in Germany focused on pre-launch activities. Prior to that, Rainer Zimmermann practiced as a Pediatric Cardiologist and Pediatrician at the Heart Center, University of Giessen from June 1999 to July 2008. Rainer Zimmermann began a medical career at Children's Hospital from March 1993 to May 1999, after earning an MD in Medicine from RWTH Aachen University between 1986 and 1993.
