Sahar Malakshah

Sahar Malakshah has a diverse work experience in the field of bioinformatics. In 2007, Sahar started working as a Research Assistant at the University of California, Riverside, where they stayed until 2012. Following that, Sahar worked as a Bioinformatics Engineer at BINA Technologies as part of an internship, focusing on the development of scalable software and hardware systems for the analysis of high-throughput human genome data. In 2013, Sahar joined Real Time Genomics as a Bioinformatics Scientist for a year. They then moved on to work at Affymetrix as a Bioinformatics Scientist II from 2014 to 2016. From 2016 to 2019, Sahar worked at Fabric Genomics as a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist. Currently, Sahar is employed at GRAIL as a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist since December 2019 and later promoted to Staff Bioinformatics Scientist in August 2022.

Sahar Malakshah completed their education in the field of Biotechnology. sahar obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S) degree in Biotechnology from the University of Tehran between 1999 and 2003. sahar then pursued a Master of Science (M.S) degree in Biotechnology from the same university from 2003 to 2006. Following this, Sahar continued their academic journey at the University of California, Riverside, where they earned a Ph.D in Evolutionary Genomics and Computational Biology from 2007 to 2012.
