Sarah Yam

Sarah Yam has a diverse work experience in the field of bioinformatics. Sarah is currently working as a Bioinformatics Scientist at GRAIL since July 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Bioinformatician at Morgan and Mendel Genomics, Inc. from September 2020 to June 2022.

Sarah also has experience as a Bioinformatics Intern at Columbia University in the City of New York. During their internship from February 2019 to December 2019, they conducted research related to potential mechanisms of mitochondrial diseases and prostate cancer metastasis. Sarah analyzed gene expression and discovered potential gene regulation patterns.

Before their internship, Sarah worked at the University of California, Davis in various roles. Sarah served as a Student Research Assistant and Student Assistant from September 2015 to June 2017. Sarah also volunteered as a C.O.N. and Child Life Sciences Volunteer during the same period. In addition, they worked as a Conservatory Intern and Lab Assistant from January 2015 to June 2015.

Sarah Yam completed their education at Columbia University from 2018 to 2020, where they obtained a Master of Arts degree in Biomedical Informatics. Prior to that, they attended the University of California, Davis from 2013 to 2017, earning a Bachelor's degree in Genetics and Genomics. Sarah began their educational journey at Los Altos High School from 2009 to 2013. Unfortunately, no degree or field of study was specified for their high school education.
