Alastair Scragg

Alastair Scragg has a diverse work experience in the legal field. Alastair is currently working as the Head of Legal at Gravity Sketch since 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Legal, EMEA & APAC at Invicti Security from 2022 to 2023. In 2021, they held the position of EMEA Counsel at Pendo.io. From 2018 to 2021, they worked at Rackspace Technology as a Senior Legal Counsel. Before that, they were a Solicitor at EDF Energy from 2016 to 2018, where they specialized in contract negotiations and acted as the lead legal advisor for nuclear build projects. Alastair also served as a Solicitor (Commercial) at SGN from 2012 to 2016, where they provided legal support on various matters and played a role in building and developing the legal team. Earlier in their career, Alastair worked as a Corporate Commercial Solicitor at ACUMEN Business Law, where they reviewed commercial agreements and supported M&A transactions. Alastair also founded the Credit Control and Debt Recovery department at ACUMEN and achieved profitability within three months. Alastair began their legal career as a Trainee Solicitor at Downs Solicitors LLP from 2008 to 2010.

Alastair Scragg attended Steyning Grammar School from 1997 to 2004 for their secondary education. Alastair then went on to pursue a degree in Law at Swansea University from 2004 to 2007, earning an LLB. Following their undergraduate studies, they joined The University of Law from 2007 to 2008, where they completed a Legal Practice Course.
