Barry Shields Msc

Barry Shields MSc has a significant amount of work experience in the digital and data field. Barry began their career in 1997 at East Renfrewshire Council as a Systems Lead/Manager and worked there until 2009. From 2009 to 2014, they served as the ICT & Business Transformation Manager at River Clyde Homes. In 2014, they joined Partick Housing Association as the Head of ICT/Digital Business Services until 2016. Barry then moved on to MARYHILL HOUSING ASSOCIATION LIMITED, where they worked as an ICT/Digital Advisor/Consultant from 2016 to 2017 and then became the Senior Manager, ICT, Digital, and Innovation from 2017 to 2018. After that, Barry joined Torus as the Head of Digital & Innovation/Head of PMO from 2018 to 2019. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Digital & Data/Business Partner at Great Places Housing Group since 2019.

Barry Shields MSc has completed a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Management Practice from Edinburgh Napier University. Additionally, they hold a Post Graduate Diploma (PGDip) in Leadership and Management Development from the same institution. Prior to their higher education, they pursued studies in Building, Architectural Studies, and Quantity Surveying at Glasgow College of Building & Printing.
