Head Of Strategic Crime Analysis at Greater London Authority

Sophie Deakin has extensive experience in the field of crime analysis and intelligence. Sophie started their career in 2005 with the Metropolitan Police, where they held various roles, including Lead Criminal Intelligence Analyst and Criminal Intelligence Analyst. In 2016, they joined the Greater London Authority, where they initially served as a Senior Crime Research & Statistical Analyst. Sophie then progressed to become the Strategic Crime Team Manager and is currently the Head of Strategic Crime Analysis.

Sophie Deakin's education history includes a Master of Science (MSc) in Forensic Psychology from the University of Kent, which they completed from 2003 to 2004. Sophie then pursued an NVQ Level 3 in Criminal Intelligence Analysis from The Open University, which they obtained from 2007 to 2008. Prior to that, Sophie earned a BSc (Joint Hons.) in Criminology & Psychology from the University of Lincoln, where they studied between 2000 and 2003. Their education journey began at St Alban's Girls' School from 1998 to 2000, where they completed their A levels in Business Studies, English (Language & Literature), and Dance (Choreo, Performance, Anatomy & Physiology).
