Kurt Walkom

Kurt Walkom has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Kurt is currently the Co-Founder and Head of Strategy & Operations at GRIDSIGHT, a position they have held since February 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Strategy Advisor at the same company from July 2020 to February 2022.

Before joining GRIDSIGHT, Kurt co-founded pearler in 2017, where they served as the Co-Founder and Financial Wellness Advocate since November 2021. Kurt was also the Co-Founder and GTM & GTC Lead from November 2017 to October 2021.

Kurt has also been involved in the academic sector as a Guest Lecturer, Course Advisor, and Tutor at UNSW from March 2015 to February 2021, focusing on Innovation, Engineering, and Business.

Furthermore, they gained industry experience as a Strategic Marketing Stagiaire at Solvay from January 2017 to March 2017.

Earlier in their career, Kurt worked as an Operations Engineer at Aquamax Australia, where they were a UNSW Co-op Scholar from November 2014 to February 2015. Kurt also served as a Student Engineer at Rheem Australia as a UNSW Co-op Scholar from December 2013 to February 2014.

Kurt Walkom completed their education from 2013 to 2018 at UNSW (University of New South Wales). Kurt obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Mechanical Engineering during this period. Concurrently, they also pursued a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) with a major in Finance and a minor in Management. In 2017, Kurt participated in a student exchange program at INSA Lyon - Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon. Kurt also took part in another student exchange program at the University of Colorado Boulder in 2015. In 2020, Kurt obtained a certification as a UNSW Founders Mentor from UNSW Founders.
