Désirée Schenk

Désirée Schenk has a diverse work experience in the field of biosciences. Désirée started their career as an Associate Scientist at Pillar Biosciences in 2015 and then progressed to the roles of Scientist I and Scientist II. In 2018, they joined Fluent BioSciences Inc. as a Scientist II. Currently, they are working at Gritstone bio, starting as a Senior Scientist I in 2019 and subsequently being promoted to Senior Scientist II. Their recent position is that of a Principal Scientist, which they have held since August 2022. Prior to their industry experience, Désirée was a Graduate Fellow at Purdue University from 2011 to 2014.

Désirée Schenk earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Kettering University in 2011. Désirée then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biomedical/Medical Engineering at Purdue University, which they completed in 2014.
