John Heatherington

John Heatherington has extensive work experience in finance, operations, and corporate services. John is currently the Director of Finance and Corporate Services at Groundwork, where they are responsible for overseeing finance, IT, facilities, and trading. Prior to this, they worked at Marks and Spencer for over a decade, holding roles such as Regional Finance & Operations Manager and International Operations Manager. John also served as Head of Finance, Operations, and IT for the Far East Sourcing Offices. Before joining Marks and Spencer, they worked at Atmel Corporation as a European Business Process Analyst and at Booker Cash & Carry Limited as a Business Analyst and Senior Internal Auditor.

John Heatherington completed their education in a progressive manner. John began their academic journey at Dame Allan's Boys School from 1989 to 1996. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Management Control at Sheffield Hallam University, attending from 1996 to 2000.

Afterward, they enrolled in the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) program from 2000 to 2004, where they obtained their FCCA degree.

In terms of additional certifications, John obtained a Certificate in Digital Innovation in Finance from ACCA in January 2021. Prior to this, in October 2018, they acquired the Introduction to Agile - Agilist Level 1 certification. Additionally, they earned the Scrum Master - Agilist Level 2 certification in the same month and year. The institutions from which they obtained these certifications are not specified.
