Peter Lohrey, PhD, CVA, CDBV has a strong background in economic damages, business valuation, and forensic accounting. Peter currently holds the position of Senior Consultant Economic Damages and Business Valuation at Guidepost Solutions. In 2021, they served as an Accounting Professor at Fairleigh Dickinson University and as Director of Forensic & Valuation Services at BKD CPAs & Advisors. From 2016 to 2021, they worked at Prager Metis CPAs, first as a Director of Forensic, Valuation, and Litigation Support Services, and later as a Director of Forensic, Valuation, and Litigation Support Services at PragerMetis CPA's, LLC. Prior to that, from 2014 to 2020, they were an Assistant Professor of Accounting at Montclair State University, where they taught courses in financial accounting, forensic accounting, and business valuation. Peter also developed the curriculum for the Forensic Accounting Program specialization in business valuation and fair value accounting. Earlier in their career, they held positions at DiGabriele, McNulty, Campanella & Co., LLC, RSM McGladrey, LECG/Marshall-Stevens, and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, where they gained experience in areas such as forensic accounting, business valuation, fair value accounting, commercial damages, and securities. Peter has published numerous articles in academic and professional journals and has provided expert witness testimony for various litigation matters.

Peter Lohrey, PhD, CVA, CDBV has an extensive education history. Peter holds a PhD in Accounting and Finance from the George Washington University - School of Business. Prior to this, they obtained both an MBA and an MS in Finance from Loyola University Maryland. Peter also holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of Delaware. In addition, they pursued an MBA with a focus on Finance from Loyola University Maryland.
