Sandeep Babbar

Sandeep Babbar has over 24 years of work experience in various technology roles. Sandeep is currently the Head of Apps at Hearing Australia, a position they have held since 2023. Prior to this, Sandeep worked at GWA Group Limited for seven years, where they served as the Head of Technology Innovation, Technology Director (Digital), and Digital Applications Manager. During their time at GWA, they played a key role in business transformation, product development, and technical operations, including the launch of the world's first IoT-powered digital products for water solutions in commercial real estate.

Before joining GWA, Sandeep worked at HotSchedules as a Project Manager, leading projects in the retail industry and overseeing the rollout of a new back-office system in international markets. Sandeep also worked at KFC South Pacific and Yum! Restaurants International, leading digital innovation initiatives and developing IoT-powered solutions for production management and mobile ordering.

Sandeep's early career includes roles at Oracle, where they worked as a Sr. Consultant and Implementation Specialist, providing technology solutions for the hospitality and specialty retail industry. Sandeep also worked as a System Engineer at Orium Network Services and as a Software Engineer and Developer at HFCL. Sandeep started their career with an internship at ISRO - Indian Space Research Organization.

Throughout their career, Sandeep has demonstrated their expertise in project management, digital transformation, technology innovation, and implementing effective solutions for various industries. Sandeep has a track record of driving business growth, reducing costs, and enhancing customer experiences through the strategic use of technology.

Sandeep Babbar completed their Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering from Punjab Technical University from 1998 to 2002. Sandeep then pursued a Master of Engineering Studies in Energy Planning & Policy from the University of Technology Sydney from 2003 to 2004. In addition to their formal education, Sandeep has obtained several certifications, including PMI - Agile Project Management from PMI - San Francisco Bay Area Chapter in 2013, Leadership Development Program from Heartstyles - Growing heart in business in 2012, PMI - Project Management Professional (PMP) from PMI - San Francisco Bay Area Chapter in 2012, and Train the trainer from MICROS Systems Inc in 2011.
