Pritish Samal

Pritish Samal is a Software Engineer 1 at Harness since August 2023 and has been a Software Development Engineer at GitHub since October 2021, serving as a GitHub Campus Expert to cultivate diverse and inclusive tech communities. Pritish gained experience as a Software Development Intern at BharatPe, where reusable components in React and TypeScript were developed, including a widely used video widget. As a mentor during Google Summer of Code, Pritish contributed to the Open Bioinformatics Foundation and the Journal Policy Tracker project. Contributions to the Cloud Native Computing Foundation included participation in the Kubernetes structured logging migration. Additional roles include MLH Prep Fellow and LFX Mentee at the Linux Foundation. Pritish holds a Bachelor of Technology in Ceramic Sciences and Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Rourkela, complemented by a background in Computer Science from De Paul School in Berhampur.
