John Elliott

John Elliott is a board member and soon-to-be chair at the Wildlife Protection Society of India (UK). John is also an editorial board member and treasurer for The Round Table, The Commonwealth Journal of International Affairs. Additionally, John is a book author for HarperCollins Publishers India, and runs the India-focussed South Asia current affairs blog "Riding the Elephant." John has extensive experience as a South Asia correspondent for various renowned publications such as The Economist and Fortune Magazine, and also served as a public affairs adviser for the Hong Kong Government. John started their career as a construction industry management trainee before transitioning to journalism.
