Rey Balcazar Jr has a diverse work experience in the insurance and risk management industry, specializing in human capital and self-funded markets. Currently, they serve as the SVP of Human Capital at HAUSER, where they focus on providing innovative solutions and thought leadership to enhance employee benefits and reduce costs for private equity clients and their portfolio companies. Prior to this, they were the SVP of Self-Funded Markets at Advanced Medical Pricing Solutions (AMPS), leading a national team in promoting Total Cost Containment solutions to self-funded employer groups. Rey also held various roles at Mercer, including Office Business Leader, Exchange Solutions Leader, and Principal. Rey started their career at Principal Financial Group as the Director of Account Management, where they worked for eight years.

Rey Balcazar Jr earned a Bachelor's of Liberal Arts degree in Spanish/Religion from Wabash College, where they studied from 1986 to 1990. Additionally, they hold Life and Health Insurance Licenses throughout the US, obtained from State Departments of Insurance.
