Kevin Languasco

Kevin Languasco has worked in the tech industry since 2018. At La Positiva Seguros, they served as a Backend Developer and later as Backend Technical Lead. During their time there, they built RESTful API services using Django REST framework, and ran meetings with multiple stakeholders and the IT team as the technical lead of EHealth, the flagship digital health module of the app. Kevin also achieved more than 7 thousand registered users in 6 months. In 2020, they joined Haystack News as a Data Engineer. Kevin designed and implemented an ELT solution based on Apache Kafka and Snowflake, and developed machine learning models for getting insights from data, aiding in business decisions.

Kevin Languasco has a diverse educational background. Kevin obtained a High School Diploma from Colegio Peruano Norteamericano Abraham Lincoln in 2012. Kevin also earned an IB Diploma from International Baccalaureate in 2011-2012. In 2013-2018, they completed a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. In 2018, they were an Exchange Student at the University of Oklahoma, studying Computer Science. In 2020, they participated in a Summer Program at IMPA, specializing in Mathematical Statistics and Probability. Additionally, they have obtained two certifications: Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) from Cambridge English Language Assessment in 2012 and TOEFL iBT Test from Educational Testing Service (ETS) in 2017.
