Dr Evgeny Polyakov

Dr Evgeny Polyakov has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Dr Evgeny started their career as the Marketing Director at International Academy of Management Ltd from 2002 to 2004. Dr Evgeny then worked at the University of Huddersfield as the Head of Russian-British Business Centre from 2006 to 2011 and also served as a Senior Lecturer in Business Strategy during that time.

In 2011, Dr Polyakov transitioned to Sulzer, where they initially held the position of Business Development/Project Manager in Gas Turbine Services, managing notable projects and LTSA contracts. Dr Evgeny then took on the role of Project Manager in New Business Projects (Pumps) and successfully executed complex projects involving manufacturing bespoke pumps.

From 2014 to 2016, Dr Polyakov worked at Elliott Group, Ebara Corp as a Project & Contract Manager in the Global Service EMA division. Dr Evgeny was responsible for managing projects and contracts, preparing quotations, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

In 2016, Dr Polyakov joined Flowserve Corporation as the KSA Commercial Operations Manager. Dr Evgeny focused on improving profitability and gaining a competitive position in the KSA market, leading a team of project managers and application engineers.

In 2018, Dr Polyakov assumed the role of Managing Director at Gulf Business Enterprise S.P.C. and held the position until 2020.

Most recently, Dr Polyakov joined Hayward Tyler in 2019, starting as the Regional Sales Manager for the Middle East and Caspian Region. Dr Evgeny subsequently became the Head of Sales in 2019, overseeing global sales strategies, and is currently serving as the Sales Director with responsibilities for managing a $40MM UK P&L and contributing to a broader $120MM Divisional P&L through global sales of pumps and motors.

Throughout their career, Dr Evgeny Polyakov has demonstrated strong leadership, business development, and project management skills, contributing to the growth and success of the organizations they have worked for.

Dr Evgeny Polyakov received their BSc (Hons) in Construction Management from Bratsk State University, where they studied from 1995 to 2000. Dr Evgeny then pursued an M.A. in International Business from Buckinghamshire New University, completing it in the year 2000. Dr Polyakov furthered their education by obtaining a Ph.D. in Corporate Restructuring from Brunel University London, which they completed between 2000 and 2005. In addition to their degrees, they have also obtained certifications including Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute in January 2014 and the title of Fellow from the Higher Education Academy in March 2007.
