Brian Perea

Brian Perea is the CTO at HeadSpin. Brian was previously an undergraduate research intern at Arizona State University and a graduate research assistant at University of California, Berkeley. Brian also interned at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Summer Research Program.

Brian's research has focused on simulated interactions between ionic liquids using molecular dynamics modeling and the Saguaro supercomputer at ASU. Brian has also developed an agile experimental platform that increases the number of samples while decreasing sample volume. Brian has also generated and analyzed batches of 12,000+ biological images (> 1 TB of image data).

Brian is skilled in Python, R, and Linear Mixed Effects Modeling (lme4). Brian is also experienced in Git and Github. Brian is able to visualize data in Python (Matplotlib, Seaborn, Bokeh, Holoviews) and R (ggplot2).

Brian Perea received their Doctor of Philosophy in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. Brian also holds a B.S.E. in Chemical Engineering from Arizona State University.

They are on a team with Eravi Gopan - Chief Revenue Officer, Jonathan Kaplan - General Counsel, and Gaurav Mathur - COO. Their manager is Rajeev Butani, CEO.
