Martha Santana-Chin

Martha Santana-Chin has a strong and extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Martha currently serves as the Medi-Cal President at Health Net, overseeing the Medi-Cal line of business and serving over 2 million members. Prior to this role, they were the Senior Vice President of Healthcare Delivery at Health Net, where they were responsible for provider engagement, performance management, risk adjustment revenue optimization, and healthcare cost containment strategy.

Before joining Health Net, Santana-Chin worked at AltaMed Health Services as the VP of Managed Care, where they were accountable for managed care business profitability and delivery system strategy. Martha also held various roles at Cap Management Systems - Tenet, including Executive Director and IPA Manager, where they led business development efforts and managed the implementation of new health plan contracts.

Throughout their career, Santana-Chin has demonstrated expertise in driving better outcomes for underserved communities, P&L management, healthcare service operations, delivery system strategy, payer and provider relations, and strategic programs serving Medi-Cal, dually eligible, Medicare, and low-income populations.

Martha Santana-Chin earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from California State University-Long Beach - College of Business in 1996. Martha later completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Health/Health Care Administration/Management from the University of California, Irvine - The Paul Merage School of Business in 2012.
