Martha Shanahan

Martha Shanahan is an experienced journalist and editor with a diverse background in various media roles. Currently serving as a newsletter editor and web producer at Hearst Connecticut Media Group since April 2020, Martha previously held positions as a GA and education reporter at Republican-American, and as a staff reporter at The Day Publishing Company and The Keene Sentinel. Early career experience includes reporting at GateHouse Media New England, an internship at NPR's Washington Desk, and editorial roles at The Tufts Daily, Financial Times, The Boston Globe, and The Somerville Journal. Martha holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Tufts University and studied abroad in Beijing.
