Bjoern Eskofier is a Research Group Leader at Helmholtz Munich, serving as the Principal Investigator for the Research Group Translational Digital Health. Bjoern is also the Head of the Machine Learning and Data Analytics Lab at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg, focusing on research for wearable and ubiquitous computing systems in the intersection of sports and healthcare. Additionally, Bjoern is involved in various academic and industry roles, such as being a Professor for Computer Science, a Co-Founder and Co-Owner of multiple companies, a Scientific Advisor, and an Area Editor for Digital Health at IEEE Open Journal of Engineering in Medicine and Biology. Bjoern has also held visiting professor positions at Stanford University and MIT Media Lab.
