Tarun's most recent role was as the Head of Operational Risk at Hero FinCorp. Prior to that, they served as the Head of Operational Risk at Lendingkart. Tarun has also worked at Standard Chartered Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, ING, and ICICI Bank India, where they held senior-level positions related to operational risk management. Additionally, they have experience in strategic planning, marketing, sales, and asset management. Throughout their career, Tarun has been responsible for developing risk management policies, implementing controls, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Tarun has demonstrated expertise in risk assessment, fraud management, and creating risk monitoring systems. Tarun Gupta earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance from Kurukshetra University in 1995. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Science from Panjab University in 1993. Tarun also completed their Higher Secondary education in Science from D.A.V. College, Chandigarh in 1991, and their Matriculation from St. Xavier School, Delhi in 1988. In terms of additional certifications, Tarun received a certification in Measurement & Management of Operational Risk under Basel II from the National Institute of Banking Management (NIBM) in 2011. Tarun also obtained certifications in Managerial effectiveness, Interpersonal effectiveness, Presentation & communication skills, Passion at work, Leadership, and Nurturing talent from ICICI Bank in 2009. Furthermore, Tarun holds a certification in Spiritual Quotient (SQ) from ISKCON, Bangalore, earned in 2005.
