Britteney Laurenceau has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Starting in 2014, they worked as a Legal Secretary at the Law Office of Virginia Geiss until 2017. In 2017, they transitioned to being a Tow Student Research Fellow at Brooklyn College for a brief period. Later in 2017, they became a Patient Services Advocate at Brookdale before moving on to being an Office Manager at the Brooklyn Eye Center in 2018. Britteney then joined the 9/11 Tribute Museum as a Group Sales Coordinator before transitioning to the Church Pension Group as a Client Services Consultant in early 2019. From 2019 to 2020, they worked as a Communications Aide at UNICC, where they developed and implemented communication strategies and collaborated with various U.N. entities. In 2020, they took on the role of a Marketing Coordinator at the Bayard Rustin Fund Incorporated, where they managed event planning and coordinated with labor leadership for fundraising efforts. Finally, in 2020, they became the Local and International Programs Coordinator at The ForUsGirls Foundation Inc. before joining HIAS as an Operations Coordinator in 2021.

Britteney Laurenceau pursued their higher education starting from 2006 to 2010 at Wells College. Britteney earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree with a field of study in History. In 2008, they participated in a Study Abroad Program at Universidad de Sevilla, focusing on Spanish Language and Latin American Studies. Later, from 2015 to 2017, they attended Brooklyn College where they obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Political Science, International Affairs.
