Senior Director of Programs, Him For Her at Him For Her

Laura Gluhanich has had a long and varied career in the social impact and tech industries. Laura began their career in 2004 as a Dining Room Manager for Chop House/Gratzi Restaurant, where they managed the day-to-day operations and staff of the multi-million dollar high-end restaurants. In 2007, they joined Ning as a Senior Community Manager/Director of Support, where they managed a team of up to twelve direct reports and supported 30 million users. In 2011, they moved to About.me as a Senior Community Manager, managing support, social content, email newsletters, blog, in product copy, and outreach programs. In 2012, they cofounded both Silent Book Club, a worldwide network of book lovers, and Signal Camp, which tackles challenges early stage companies face in communicating with their community. In 2016, they took on the role of Head of Community at Everwise, where they were responsible for the well-being and growth of the Everwise community of mentors and proteges. In 2018, they joined Google as a Program Manager for Google Developer Communities. Finally, in 2020, they became the Senior Director of Programs at Him For Her, a social impact venture aimed at accelerating diversity on corporate boards.

Laura Gluhanich received their BA in English Language and Literature from the University of Michigan College of Literature, Science, and the Arts. In 2018, they obtained a Certificate in Intercultural/Multicultural and Diversity Studies from Cornell University.
