Avinash Kalgi

Avinash Kalgi has over 20 years of experience in software development and product leadership. In 2020, they took on the role of Chief Product Officer at Hola Cash, a startup in the payments and fintech space in LatAm. In this role, they created a strategy and roadmap, and built up a product team. Prior to this, they were the Senior Software Development Manager at Amazon Web Services (AWS) for S3, where they managed a team of 40 and released AWS S3 Batch Operations. From 2010 to 2019, they were the Vice President of Software Development and then Senior Director of Software Development at Visa, where they managed a team of 100 developers and improved development practices. From 2007 to 2010, they were the Manager of Software Development Engineering at CyberSource, where they worked closely with product management to establish requirements for phased delivery. From 2000 to 2007, they were the Manager of Software Development Engineering at Authorize.Net, where they were responsible for requirements analysis, architecture, design, and improving development practices. Avinash's first role in the software development field was as a Senior Software Engineer at Sun Microsystems from 1999 to 2000, where they worked on testing tools and then the Sun-Netscape alliance.

Avinash Kalgi obtained a Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering from Vivekanand Education Society's Institute Of Technology. Avinash then went on to pursue a Masters in Computer Science from West Virginia University.
