Pieter Crathorne

Pieter Crathorne is an experienced music educator and pianist with a robust background in teaching and performance. Currently serving as a Music Teacher at Austin Trinity Episcopal School since July 2019, Pieter instructs general music classes for grades K-4, coordinates performances for chapel services, and directs large-scale productions. Pieter also holds a position as Pianist/Organist at Holy Cross Lutheran Church since 2013, where accompaniment for choir and congregational music is provided. Previous roles include Adjunct Faculty at Our Lady of the Lake University, where undergraduate courses in music history, theory, and ministry were taught, as well as piano classes and choir accompanying at The University of Texas at Austin and Western Michigan University. Pieter's academic credentials include a Doctorate in Piano Performance from The University of Texas at Austin and multiple degrees from Stellenbosch University, evidencing a strong foundation in music education and performance.
