Naka Nathaniel

Naka Nathaniel is a Lecturer at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. They also work as a Columnist/Editor-at-Large at Honolulu Civil Beat, and serve as a Community Advisory Board Member at Kkua Khpr Hawaii Public Radio. Naka previously held positions as a Board Member at Hands On Atlanta and Freedom Park Conservancy. They have experience as a Journalism Instructor at Emory University and as a Journalist at The New York Times, where they were part of the team that launched NYTimes.com in January. Naka graduated with a degree in journalism from The University of Texas at Austin.
