Jose Alejandro Artavia Cerdas has extensive work experience in the field of iOS development. Jose Alejandro started their career at IBM in 2008 as a Software Developer, where they developed and maintained P&G's HR web apps. After that, they worked at Fiserv as a Mobile Application Developer, where they developed cross-platform features and key solutions for the iOS and Android Fiserv's Mobiliti Mobile Banking Platform apps.

In 2017, Jose joined Avantica as a Senior iOS Developer, where they built and released a native Netflix-like tvOS app and worked with the Scotiabank Digital Factory team to build new Fintech features into their app.

Jose Alejandro then joined Stateside Co. in 2018 as a Senior iOS Developer, where they developed key features solutions for the Sephora Advisor Assistant app and contributed to iOS development for a disruptive botox company.

In 2019, Jose joined Molekule as a Senior iOS Engineer, where they maintained the code base and developed new features for the Molekule Air Purifier iOS App. Jose Alejandro also set up the entire Mobile DevOps solution for CI/CD.

After that, they worked at Rappi as a Senior iOS Engineer, where they maintained and enhanced the RappiPay Credit Card Payments modules and flows while also developing new features.

In 2021, Jose joined Vori as a Senior iOS Engineer, where they maintained, enhanced, and refactored the existing Vori app. Jose Alejandro also contributed to the creation of an iPad-only new app and developed new features to scale the codebase.

Currently, Jose is working at Honor Education, Et Al as a Tech Lead | iOS Engineer.

Jose Alejandro Artavia Cerdas completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Software Engineering from Universidad Latina de Costa Rica, where they studied from 2009 to 2014. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained three certifications in the field of User Experience (UX) Design. These certifications include "Build Wireframes and Low-Fidelity Prototypes" from Coursera, which they obtained in May 2023, "Start the UX Design Process: Empathize, Define, and Ideate" from Coursera, which they obtained in February 2023, and "Foundations of User Experience (UX) Design" from Coursera, which they obtained in November 2022.
