James Feng

VP, Engineering at Hookit

James Feng is currently the VP of Engineering at Hookit, a KORE Software Company. James has been with the company since October 2020 and in their current role, they lead the engineering team responsible for Hookit's core services -- ingestion pipeline, internal tools, automation, and system infrastructure.

Prior to their current role, Feng served as the Director of Product Operations at Hookit, responsible for all operations involving Hookit's data product delivery. James was with the company from June 2018 to October 2020.

Before joining Hookit, Feng spent two years at Grand Pacific Resorts as the Product Owner for Salesforce. In this role, they were responsible for the feature roadmap, workflow and feature specification.

Feng began their career at Qualcomm in April 2007 as a Staff Engineer/Manager. James quickly rose through the ranks and was promoted to OEM Project Manager in May 2006. In this role, they were responsible for identifying and mitigating resource and process gaps that can cause risk to the overall software program. James was assigned to strategic Tier-1 client programs (Amazon, Apple) and spent three years in this role before joining Hookit in October 2020.

James Feng has a Master's of Engineering from UC San Diego in Electrical Engineering. James also has a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from UC San Diego. In addition, they are certified by Salesforce in Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder and Salesforce Certified Service Cloud Consultant. James is also certified by the Project Management Institute in PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) and Project Management Professional (PMP).
