Patricia Merino Price

Principal Systems & Design Strategist at Hopelab

Patricia Merino Price is the current Principal Systems & Design Strategist at Hopelab. Prior to this, they were the Director of Learning at IDEO.org from January 2015 to June 2017. In this role, Patricia led, advised, and strengthened IDEO.org team in creating meaningful learning experiences for our partners. Patricia also developed a variety of custom learning engagement offerings for our partners to introduce and experiment with how human-centered design might best be applied in their organizations. Partners included Population Services International (Nigeria, Ethiopia), the Rockefeller Foundation, the World Bank (India), United Nations, and JP Morgan Chase Fellowship Initiative (US), and the Acumen Fund (Kenya, Global), UNICEF + UNHCR (Uganda). Patricia developed new online courses for DesignKit.org platform for Prototyping and The Facilitator’s Guide to Introducing Human-centered Design. Patricia also managed dissemination of the Field Guide for Human-Centered Design. Lastly, Patricia developed and evolved learning strategy for how IDEO.org best disseminates the human-centered design methodology.

Before their time at IDEO.org, Patricia was the Client Relations Manager at Adaptive Path from March 2008 to March 2010. Her previous role was as Project Leader, Transformation by Design at IDEO from June 2004 to February 2008.

Patricia Merino Price has a masters from the Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP) at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. Patricia also has a bachelors of arts from Columbia University where they double majored in Psychology and Patricia'spanic Studies. Patricia has a certificate from Pratt Institute in 2D & 3D Animation and a certificate in Spanish Literature and Ecuadorian Culture from Universidad Católica - Quito. Patricia also has a certificate in Spanish Language and Mexican Culture from Centro Bilingüe - Cuernavaca.
