Leigh Friedel, PE

Leigh Friedel, PE has an extensive work experience in engineering and leadership roles. Currently, they are working as Deputy Commander, Reserve Affairs at the US Army Corps of Engineers. Prior to that, they served as Director of Business Development at Horizon Strategies, LLC in 2020. From 2018-2021, they worked as Operations Officer at the U.S. Army War College, Center for Strategic Leadership. In 2017, they attended National Defense University as a student. Before that, they served as Battalion Commander at the 926th Engineer Battalion from 2015-2017. Leigh also gained experience as Deputy Commander at the U.S. Army Reserve from 2013-2015 and Project Engineer at the US Army Corps of Engineers from 2009-2013.

Leigh Friedel, PE earned a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from The University of Alabama, where they studied from 1993 to 1998. Later on, in 2017 and 2018, they completed a Master of Science in National Resource Strategy from National Defense University. In 2019, they finished a Master of Engineering Management from Ohio University.
