Elizabeth Santana has over five years of experience in the animal care industry. In 2019, they began their career as a Veterinary Receptionist/Kennel Technician and Social Media Manager at Shore Veterinarians. In 2020, they joined Absecon Veterinary Hospital as a General Practice/Surgery Technician and General Practice Teacher. During their time there, they collaborated with the veterinarians and other techs to observe and diagnose animals patients, administer treatments and give vaccinations. Elizabeth also frequently performed x-rays, collected and reviewed patient samples for diagnosis and monitored vitals during surgical procedures. In 2021, they began working as Elizabeth’s Excellent Pet Care at Rover.com. The following year, they joined Kelly Science, Engineering, Technology & Telecom as a Substitute Teacher and MEDFORD ANIMAL HOSPITAL as a Lead Veterinary Technician. In their role as Lead Veterinary Technician, they acted as a liaison between assigned doctor and clients and functioned as the main point of contact between the assigned doctor, technician team and other employees on duty. Currently, they are employed as a Community Experience Manager at Hound.

Elizabeth Santana obtained their Associate's degree in Veterinary/Animal Health Technology/Technician and Veterinary Assistant from Penn Foster between 2022 and 2024. In June 2022, they were awarded a Recover Certified in CPR: Basic Life Support and CPR: Advance Life Support certification from Cornell University. In January 2023, they were awarded an Inbound certification from HubSpot Academy. In October 2021, they were awarded a Fear Free Certified Professional certification from Fear Free, LLC.
