Bridget Conneely

Director, Educational Media at Howard Hughes Medical Institute

Bridget Conneely has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as an Intern at the National Park Service in 2004. Bridget then joined the World Wildlife Fund as an Intern in 2010, where they utilized GIS tools for ecological analysis. In 2011, they worked as a Teaching Assistant at the University of British Columbia's Biology Department. Bridget later became a Consultant and Project Manager for the Gorongosa Restoration Project, focusing on ecosystem restoration and poverty alleviation in Mozambique. Bridget also worked as a Conservation Intern at Wildlife Conservation Society Canada, performing research and GIS analyses for bat species and hydrological data. In 2012, they joined Gorongosa National Park as a Digital Project Manager and GIS Analyst, where they performed spatial analysis and managed conservation projects. From 2013 to 2014, Bridget served as the Website Committee Chair for the Society for Conservation GIS, overseeing the development of their new website. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Educational Media at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, where they create science education resources.

Bridget Conneely earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Wildlife Ecology from the University of Maine in the years 1999 to 2003. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Zoology from The University of British Columbia from 2009 to 2011.
