Thomas Wardman

Thomas Wardman has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Thomas is currently serving as the Vice President, IT & Operations at the HRPA - Human Resources Professionals Association, where they are responsible for technology strategy and implementing new CRM solutions.

Prior to that, Thomas founded W Research & Associates, a consulting firm providing IT and Operations Management services to Mid-Markets, Not-For-Profits, Charities, Associations, and Regulators.

Thomas also held the position of Chief Technology Officer at the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada), overseeing the organization's IT framework and successfully managing network infrastructure and software development.

Thomas has a strong background in the arts, having served in various roles at The Royal Conservatory of Music, including Vice President, Digital Transformation & Chief Information Officer. Thomas led the digital transformation of the organization and implemented a remote format for musical exams. Thomas also served as the Chief Privacy Officer and focused on enhancing customer service and introducing customer-friendly solutions.

Before joining The Royal Conservatory, Thomas worked at The College of Family Physicians of Canada in multiple roles, such as Director of IT Infrastructure and User Support, Head of Cyber Security & Deputy CIO, and Interim Director of IT Business Solutions. Thomas achieved significant milestones in IT security compliance and reduced security-related incidents by 95%.

Earlier in their career, Thomas worked at Cognizant Technology Solutions as an Associate Director, leading infrastructure projects for Loblaw's Enterprise Information Systems Support department. Thomas also held various positions at Hewlett-Packard, where they played a pivotal role in shaping the company's future and created new products in the Windows and Virtualization consulting space.

Additionally, Thomas has experience at Nortel Networks as a Lead IT Architect and Application Manager, and at the University of Lethbridge and Deep Thought Computing Ltd. in technical roles.
