James Everard has an extensive work experience spanning over 30 years. James began their career in 1989 as a Derivative Securities Trader and Analyst at Robert Fleming Securities and Investcorp. In 1994, they became a Multimedia Programmer while self-employed. In 1995, they founded an Internet entertainment and marketing company, AdTools, which they sold to SONY MUSIC in 2000. James then started working at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust in 2003 as a Service Manager for Radiology, Pathology & Genetics. In 2005, they became the General Manager for Children, Women and Sexual Health at Homerton University Hospital Foundation Trust. In 2007, they took on the role of Managing Director at Lewisham Practice Based Commissioning Federation. In 2009, they worked as a Musical Dilettante at James Song Factory. From 2010 to 2018, they served as the CEO & House Husband at APPATTA LTD and then Head of Research and Development and Senior Vision and Deep Learning Engineer at Humanising Autonomy.

James Everard received a Bachelor's Degree in Medicine and Computer Science from the University of Cambridge in 1989. In 1995, they earned a Certificate in Counselling Skills and Theory from the Central School for Counselling and Therapy.
