Paul Ross

Paul Ross has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Most recently, they served as a Principal Software Engineer at hyperTunnel Limited since June 2022. Prior to this, they worked at ONI as a Senior Software Engineer (Technical Lead) from May 2021 to June 2022.

Paul also worked at hyperTunnel Limited as a Principal Software Architect from February 2021 to May 2021. Before joining hyperTunnel Limited, they were a Senior Staff Algorithms and Software Development Engineer (tech lead) at Sense Photonics from February 2020 to November 2020, and an Algorithms Engineer from July 2019 to February 2020.

Their previous experience includes working as a Research Engineer (Software Systems) at Optos from March 2017 to July 2019, and as a Research Engineer at Toshiba Medical Visualization Systems (Europe) Ltd from October 2011 to February 2017.

Paul Ross has an extensive education history, starting with their Bachelor of Science (BSc hons) degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of Dundee, which they completed from 1993 to 1996. Subsequently, they pursued a Postgraduate diploma (PGDip) in Numerical Analysis at the same university from 1996 to 1997. Later on, in 2010 to 2011, Paul attended The University of Edinburgh to obtain a Master of Science (MSc) degree in High-Performance Computing. Finally, they completed their highest level of education, an EngD (Doctor of Engineering) degree in Optics and Photonics, from 2011 to 2017 at Heriot-Watt University.
