David Henriquez

David Henriquez has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. David is currently the Head of Product at ID Finance since 2023. Previously, they worked at Grupo Unicomer / Unicomer Group from 2020 to 2022, where they held the position of Senior Product Manager - Fintech. In this role, they successfully led the scale-up of a mobile app offering working capital loans for SMEs, resulting in significant revenue increase and high user retention rate. Prior to that, David served as the Head of Program Management at FUNDES from 2018 to 2020, overseeing successful implementation of 100+ projects across 15 countries. David also held the position of Senior Project Manager at FUNDES from 2014 to 2018, leading consulting projects in Central America and the Caribbean. Furthermore, David was a Co-founder and board member of College Cup from 2016 to 2019, where they played a key role in creating opportunities for students to obtain athletic scholarships. Additionally, they worked as a Regional Program Officer at Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in 2014, responsible for managing loan disbursement and implementation for projects in Costa Rica, Panama, and El Salvador. Lastly, David had earlier positions at FUNDES from 2012 to 2013, where they gained experience as a Project Leader and Project Assistant.

David Henriquez completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Dirección Estratégica from Universidad Francisco de Vitoria from 2014 to 2016. David also obtained a Summa Cum Laude - Bachelor of Innovation in Business Management from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs between 2008 and 2012. In addition, David has acquired certifications in various areas, including Databases and SQL for Data Science from IBM in March 2021, Data Science for Business Innovation from EIT - European Institute of Innovation and Technology in February 2021, Design Thinking for Innovation from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business in August 2020, and PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)® from the Project Management Institute in August 2021.
