Kerrie Matthews has extensive work experience in the mining and construction industry. Kerrie currently works at Iluka Resources as a Project Director for the Eneabba Project. Prior to that, they were a Non-Executive Director at the Construction Training Fund.
Before joining Iluka Resources, Kerrie worked at BHP in various roles. Kerrie was a Project Manager for WA Major Projects and a Study Manager responsible for feasibility phase deliverables and project development. Kerrie also served as the Deputy Project Director for the South Flank project, a major iron ore hub. Additionally, they worked as a Principal for Analysis & Improvement.
Earlier in their career, Kerrie worked at Bis Industries Ltd as the Group Manager for WHSE and at MACA Ltd as the HSEQ Manager for Mining Operations. Kerrie also had a role in the Project Generation Group at Rio Tinto Exploration, where they had global responsibilities in HSE, field operations, and social value.
Kerrie Matthews has a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree from RMIT University. Additionally, they have a Graduate Certificate in Applied Risk Management from the Governance Institute of Australia. Kerrie has also obtained a GAICD (Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors) qualification. In terms of certifications, Kerrie is an Infrastructure Sustainability Council of Australia (ISCA) accredited professional and a Certified Generalist OHS Professional from the Safety Institute of Australia, both obtained in 2016.
