Laura Pickett has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Starting in 2005, they had an internship with the Evansville Otters. From 2007 to 2008, they worked as a Marketing Manager for Martin Family Practice & Concierge Medicine. In 2008, they joined the Indianapolis Indians as a Sponsorship Sales Coordinator and later became the Sponsorship Services Manager until 2011. In 2010, they began their tenure at Indiana University Health as a Supervisor and eventually moved on to become the Manager of Corporate Partnerships & Events. In 2014, they transitioned to the IU Health Foundation, where they held various positions such as Director of Innovation, Executive Director of Operations, Chief Operating Officer, and Vice President of Administration & Operations. Most recently, in 2021, Laura Pickett joined Indiana University Health as the VP and Chief Patient & Family Engagement Officer.

Laura Pickett, MHA, CPXP has a Master of Science degree in Health Administration from the University of Evansville. Laura also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Management and Communications from the same university. Additionally, Laura has a LEAN Six Sigma Green Belt Designation in Process Improvement and Efficiency from QAI - Quality for Training. Laura has completed the Principles & Techniques of Fundraising program at the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy at Indiana University Indianapolis. Laura also holds a Certified Health Care Manager certification from Indiana University Indianapolis. Laura has attended the Philanthropy Institute at The Johns Hopkins University.
