Gihan Wijeratne

Gihan Wijeratne has extensive experience in the legal field. Gihan began their career as a Law Clerk at King & Wood Mallesons in 2008 before moving on to Thomson Geer as a Lawyer in 2011. Gihan later joined Sparke Helmore Lawyers as a Lawyer in 2015 and Wotton + Kearney as an Associate in 2016. From 2017 to 2019, Gihan worked as a Legal Counsel at Royal Bank of Scotland Business. Gihan then joined PwC as a Corporate Legal Counsel from 2019 to 2021. Currently, Gihan serves as the Head of Legal & Company Secretary (Australasia) at Ingenico, starting in November 2021.

Gihan Wijeratne completed a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree at UNSW and also obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree with a specialization in Finance from the same institution. In addition, Gihan Wijeratne pursued legal studies at the University of Exeter. Gihan Wijeratne attended Canberra Grammar School for their secondary education. Furthermore, Gihan Wijeratne attended the Australian Institute of Company Directors for a course in 2023. Gihan Wijeratne also holds certifications as an Advanced Open Water Diver and an Open Water Diver from PADI.
